The Tannery Marketplace
Newburyport, MA The result of a 20-year collaboration with a local developer, this collection of two new buildings, two historic mill renovations, and an outdoor recreational space was sensitively woven into a new mixed-use community-within-a-community on Boston's North Shore. Made with a kit of parts that includes materials salvaged from demolition and off-the-shelf industrial products, we created a contemporary language that honors the past and easily lends itself to new ways of working, playing, and living.
